Acting Workshops for Adults

Belmont Theatre Company ran its second popular series of Sunday afternoon acting workshops in the Spring. These contained lively and enjoyable drama games, exercises and improvisations, to get the imagination and creativity going. They included guest workshops on voice and comedy performance.

Workshops were held at :

Northwood Hills United Reformed Church,
Joel Street,
Northwood Hills,
Middlesex, HA6 1NL

Whilst the current season of workshops has ended, we hope to run others in the future, so if you like the sound of these, please register your interest as places are strictly limited. Workshops are open to members and non-members and participation will be inexpensive.

Here are some of the comments from previous participants:

"Exhilarating. I've done workshops before but there was more to this. It helped create a rich marvelous identity with fellow performers."
Estelle Dell

"I enjoyed the whole thing, interacting, exploring different feelings, working on conveying emotions through body language."
Gillian Weinberg

"I thoroughly enjoyed the observation and activities."
Eileen Paton

"These workshops had a simple aim, to increase each participants awareness and basic skills required of a performer. For myself, the simple approach was not too taxing which helped me enormously to come out of my shell and renew old skills. While there is some time joking initially in each workshop the group themselves settles and everybody would focus and it became a very comfortable place to let my guard down and positively contribute. I look forward to the next batch."
Damian Smyth

"You will never relate to an actor more than when you act out a series of emotions using only eye contact - Magic"
Mary Woolf
