Hertfordshire is set to meet the West End after  Belmont Theatre Company secured the rights to   perform the first show written by Tim Rice and  Andrew Lloyd Webber together at the tender ages  of 17 and 21 respectively.

 This ' Oliver!-esque' lost gem of a musical has  been hidden away for 40 years, having never  made the West End stage. Now Lloyd Webbers Really Useful Group has selectively made the show  available to amateur theatres and Belmont is  amongst the first to be awarded the privilege to  stage it for you.

 The Likes of Us tells the story of Dr. Thomas     Barnardo and his crusades to rescue children living  on the streets and the whole evening is a tribute to  the good doctor.
